Cricket fans were at a loss for words when a Sydney Thunder rookie made BBL history with an insane bowling performance in her debut.
Sydney Thunder rookie Mohammad Hasnain made Big Bash history with a crazy triple wicket maiden on his BBL debut.
The Pakistani import ignited the Sydney Showgrounds with a searing opening for the Thunder against the Adelaide Strikers on Sunday night.

Hasnain picked up three wickets, at one point a hat-trick and didn’t concede any points when brought on offense in the third round.
Forwards opener Jake Weatherald cut a ball straight down the deep square-leg Daniel Sams’ throat to give Hasnain his first BBL wicket.
With Hasnain’s deliveries at 150 km / h, he trapped Matt Short lbw for 13 the next ball, overtaking him with a breakneck pace.
A few balls later, Jono Wells hit a ball at Ben Cutting in the middle of the wicket and Hasnain suddenly had numbers of 3/0.
The 21-year-old made Big Bash history, becoming the first player to win three wickets on his BBL debut. Only three other players had taken two wickets in their first match in the BBL.
Commentators were at a loss for words as Hasnain ripped apart the Strikers’ First Order.
Former Australian fast pitcher Brett Lee was blown away by the Pakistani import and jokingly urged him to retire because his career had already peaked.
“I’m going to try in the dark and say this is the best debut in BBL history,” Lee said on Fox Cricket.
“It’s phenomenal to watch. The youngster in his debut three for none in his debut.
“Just retired. Just take your hat off and go and say I’m done. I can not do better.
“It has to be one of the best debuts ever, for sure,” said former England international and Fox Cricket commentator Isa Guha.
“There can’t be a better start. One on, three counters, no tracks.
“It’s an extraordinary thing. Hasnain made his BBL debut. He came on Christmas Eve. He was removed from his team because they were in a Covid bubble.
“Oh my word. Mohammad Hasnain got into BBL in a certain style.
Cricket fans were in shock at Hasnain’s exploits with the ball in his debut.
Sports writer Alex Fair tweeted: “One of Hasnain’s great BBL debuts. What a peculiarity it was.
Former NSW paceman Trent Copeland said, “Gee whiz. Hasnain 3/0 bowling absolute rockets.
Fox Sports writer Ben Waterworth added: “My word, Mohammad Hasnain – remember the name! Bowling a big heat. 3-0 on five balls.
ABC sports broadcaster Quentin Hull said: “Scott Boland is here from Mohammed Hasnain”.
Hasnain finished 3/20 on his four overs as the Thunder beat the Strikers for 144 to secure their fifth BBL win | 11 and move to third place in the standings.
With compatriot Saqib Mahmood recalled to England ahead of a White Ball tour in the West Indies, it looks like the Thunder have a more than worthy replacement in fast bowling at Hasnain.
At bat first, the men in lime green posted 7/172, much of it on the back of a superb shot from opener Matthew Gilkes, who hit 93 on 57 balls.
